Courses are designed with five major fields: basic sciences, basic medicine, radiology and imaging sciences, clinical radiological technology, and clinical practice. We focus on basic electronic medical imaging and disciplines in radiology with interdisciplinary studies in clinical diagnosis, clinical treatment, nuclear medicine, sonography and imaging. We train students to have the ability to do special researches and thesis writing, the professional skills for radiological sciences, and the humanistic quality learnt from general education.

Courses in the first year are on the study of basic disciplines, including English language training, general education, theoretical studies in physics, chemistry, and calculus, and the medical foundation course – biology.

Courses in the second year are mainly in basic radiology, including radiophysics, radiochemistry, radiobiology, medical electronics, and electrotechnics. Major courses in basic medicine include gross anatomy, pathology, biostatistics, and physiology. Designs of computer programmes will also be taught in the second year.

In the third year, courses are designed to focus on professional radiological technology, including radiological diagnosis technology, medical imaging computer studies, magnetic resonance, sonographic diagnosis technology, radiological treatment technology, nuclear medicine technology, radiation medicine, studies of instruments for radiation diagnosis, and practice of model making and simulated radiography, along with clinical practice and training, such as general introduction to radiology and clinical medicine.

In the fourth year, students are arranged for clinical practice in hospitals, which allows students to gain practical skills and knowledge during their clinical practice, so as to equip them with the quality required to be an accredited medical radiologist.
